Half Moon Books is a brand new independent publisher based in Manchester. Our philosophy is simple: to publish and promote books for the male reader. We make no aplogies for this bold statement, as we feel the male reader is a rapidly-diminishing species that has been excluded for far too long. Furthermore, we are proud to be independent. We think independence is cool. We are not for sale.
At Half Moon Books we encourage our writers to take risks. So far, we have published two titles, both by Christopher Jeffries: An Invisible Sun and Val’s Hotel, both titles have been well-received. A third title is in the pipeline by an exciting new author, Cameron Cassidy, called The White Room. We feel all three books are cutting-edge writing of the highest quality.
In a stale publishing world, where most new titles are largely written by and for women, we feel it incumbent upon ourselves to stick up for the male reader. Because if nobody else does, we fear the male reader will be lost forever. Like the Dodo.
